Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer (Angular) to modernize and enhance a government/ERP-grade taxation portal hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) with Kubernetes-based deployment. This is a migration program with planned improvements. The role is hands-on and also requires sound frontend architecture capability.

Experience Required

• 7+ years of software development experience with strong focus on frontend engineering
• Proven delivery experience in government portals or ERP-like implementations (mandatory)
• Taxation / revenue / payments / compliance domain exposure is an advantage

Work Location / Work Mode

• Full-time role
• Remote-first; Chennai office visit on demand
• Selected resources may have to work in GST (Gulf Standard Time) based on project needs

Key Responsibilities

• Build, refactor and modernize Angular modules for complex workflows (forms, validations, dashboards, role-based screens)
• Understand existing codebase, migrate components incrementally, and deliver enhancements with minimal regression risk
• Drive frontend architecture: modularization, reusable component patterns, routing strategy, maintainability conventions
• Integrate with backend REST APIs; implement robust error handling and client-side resilience patterns
• Ensure quality via code reviews, unit/integration/e2e testing practices, and CI/CD alignment
• Collaborate with backend, platform and product stakeholders for end-to-end delivery

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on Angular development experience (version-agnostic; ability to work on/upgrade existing versions)
• Solid TypeScript/JavaScript fundamentals; RxJS and asynchronous programming competence
• Strong understanding of web fundamentals (HTTP, browser rendering, performance optimization)
• Ability to read, debug and improve legacy code
• Experience with enterprise UI patterns for workflow-heavy systems

GenAI / Agentic Development (Mandatory)

• Experience with agentic software development pipelines using Claude Code (required)
• Ability to guide AI effectively: write constraints, keep architecture standards, validate AI-generated code
• Use AI for migration acceleration (refactoring, test generation, incremental feature work) with strong verification discipline

Cloud / Platform

• Deployment environment: Kubernetes on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Ability to work with containerized delivery workflows and collaborate with platform/DevOps teams

Good to Have

• Accessibility and internationalization experience for public portals
• Exposure to observability-friendly UI logging/telemetry patterns
• Prior experience in modernization/migration of large enterprise frontends

Onboarding Focus (First 4–12 Weeks)

• Understand existing portal flows, code structure and migration approach
• Deliver 1–2 migrated/enhanced modules with tests and code review compliance
• Demonstrate effective Claude Code usage within the configured agentic pipeline with thorough validation
• Selected resources will be under client evaluation of their work and delivery for 1 month (2 sprints); continuation will be based on the evaluation outcome
